Problem of drought is growing severe due to disturbance in the management of the natural disturbances in the management of natural resources. Historic methods of conservation of water and its utilisation are overlooked by the younger generation, causing severe damage to the availability of water.

GMVS is focusing on the construction of rainwater harvesting structure, contour bunding and watershed development activities. Enough awareness and sensitivity is generated among the community members towards relief measures and management of natural resources so that they can maintain it for years.

Relief activities include installation of hand pumps and repair work. All the initiatives are organised with the active participation of the corresponding community so that they can be benefited with labour cost also. The organisation plans to prepare team of trained youths in all the villages of the project area on natural resource management issue so that the rural population can utilise their services regularly from within the villages.
