Targeted Intervention Migrant Programme Chittorgarh
Targeted intervention migrant programme is running in Chittorgarh district since March 1, 2014. The project seeks to make medical facilities available to 10,000 migrants from other parts in Chittorgarh district. These migrants are from Rajasthan and elsewhere like Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Nepal.
Objectives
- To register 10,000 migrants
- To make free medical facilities to the registered migrants
- RTI/STI check ups and follow ups
- Motivate for safe sexual behaviour
- HIV/AIDS check up
- Total treatment and monitoring of HIV/AIDS affected people
- Make condoms and medicines available through the project
- Linkages with ICTC/ART/TB/DOT
Strategy
- To bring about behaviour change among women and men migrants and motivate them towards safe sexual behaviour
- To explain importance of condom use
- To know their needs on specific intervals and reach the services to maximum people
- To secure migrants and make them aware
