Gramin Mahila Vikas Sansthan

This project is underway in three panchayat samitis of Ajmer district – Shrinagar, Silora and Bhinay. Under the project 200 new SHGs of deprived people living below poverty line are being formed. These SHGs will be linked with banks for livelihood activities for which training will also be provided. Also, these SHGs will address social problems like child labour, child marriage, girl education, etc., prevalent in the area.

Objectives

• To build capacity of women groups so they can work for their development and ensure their livelihood through better management of natural resources
• To increase income level of women through activities related to natural resources and increase access of women to personal and collective resources
• To improve social and economic status of women in family and society
• To increase participation of women in government programmes and panchayati raj
• To make efforts to organise women groups and form unified forum
