GMVS celebrated International Women's Day 2019 at Khayada village and Bhinay villages of Ajmer district. The programme was inaugurated by MLA Rakesh Parik, DDM NABARD BB Kharbanda, ICICI Bank Regioanl Manager Sanjay Gokhru and GMVS secretary Shankar Singh Rawat.

The organisation's secretary threw light on what international women's day is and how this can be made more useful. The MLA said the day will only be meaningful when women are literate as educated women are mirror of the society.

NABARD DDM said how women were moving on a fast pace to become self-reliant and how Central and State Governments were introducing schemes after schemes for their development.

ICICI Bank Regional Manager highlighted how women could be made self-reliant. He said development will become a reality only when women in homes become self-reliant. He gave information how women were given loans. A demo cheque of Rs 18 crore was also given to women groups.

On this occasion guests like Mamta Singh Chauhan, former sarpanch Rakesh Sharma, Vijay Dhabai, agriculture department official Rameshwas Janged, etc., also addressed the gathering.

More than 2,000 women attended the programme.
