Gramin Mahila Vikas Sansthan

Gramin Mahila Vikas Sansthan was honoured with Microfinance India Award for mainstreaming deprived and backward people by forming self-help groups of women in particular and doing a number of interventions with them like livelihood promotion, animal husbandry, agriculture, education, health, women empowerment and child rights.

Union Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha gave the coveted award at a function organised in New Delhi. The award was jointly received by the organsation's president Anil Kumar Mathur and secretary Shankar Singh Rawat. The award carried Rs 1 lakh in cash and a fellowship for international training programme by the Department for International Development (DFID).

Dignitaries including General Manager and HSBC India Chief Execuitve Officer Start P Milan, Acting Team Leader of Private Sector Team and Advisor to DFID India, NABARD Chief General Manager GR Chintale and Executive Director of Access Assist Radhika Aagaash were present.
